About Bravos Valley Museum of Natural History
The Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History, established in 1961, focuses on natural and cultural history. Visitors can explore the Discovery Room, which features live animals such as snakes, turtles, fish, tarantulas, and scorpions, alongside taxidermy mounts and minerals. The museum also encompasses the 11.29-acre Boonville Heritage Park, home to the original 1856 Turner-Peters log house furnished with 19th-century Texas frontier pieces.
