About Stillman House Museum
The Stillman House Museum in Brownsville, TX, was built in 1850 and served as the home of Charles Stillman. It later became the residence of Manuel Trevino de los Santos Coy, Mexican Consul to Brownsville. In 1875, Trevino and Porfirio Diaz gathered there to plot the overthrow of the Mexican president. The house opened as a public museum in 1960 and is managed by the Brownsville Historical Association.
