About Chuckey Railroad Depot Museum
The Chuckey Railroad Depot Museum tells the story of the Chuckey community’s depot and the region’s railroad heritage. It features themed exhibits, changed twice a year, often highlighting local railroads like the Southern, Clinchfield, and East Tennessee and Western North Carolina. Visitors can see artifacts from across the country, including an original waiting room bench and light fixtures. The depot building, originally from Chuckey, Tennessee, was relocated to Jonesborough and opened as a museum in 2017.
