About McCelvey Center
The McCelvey Center is the original site of the Yorkville Female College, founded in 1852. It features the 500-seat Lowry Family Theater, known for its remarkable acoustics and warm ambiance. The historic theater presents the unique heritage of the Carolina Piedmont through performing arts and hosts the annual Southern Sound Series.
