About Cayce Historical Museum
The Cayce Historical Museum's main building is a replica of a 1765 frontier trading post, Fort Granby, which later became the Cayce family home. It interprets the area's historical, social, and cultural heritage with objects from prehistoric to 21st century periods. Visitors can see exhibits on topics like the Doolittle raiders and African American Legends of Cayce, plus a 1749 kitchen, 1820 smokehouse, and a railroad caboose. The museum also features an extensive collection of over 7,000 Native American artifacts, some dating back to the Paleo-Indian period.
