About Dorr Rebellion Museum
The Pettingill-Mason House in Chepachet, Rhode Island, hosts the Dorr Rebellion Room. This recently restored house, used by the Glocester Heritage Society, commemorates the Dorr Rebellion. The rebellion was a popular movement for universal manhood suffrage and a fairer state constitution in 1842, with the house playing a role in the military clash in Chepachet.
