About Thompson-Neely House
The Thompson-Neely House and grounds served as an encampment site for part of the Continental Army in December 1776, providing a place for sick or injured soldiers to convalesce. The site's history includes early European settlement and a thriving milling complex. Today, visitors can explore the house, which was enlarged multiple times, and numerous outbuildings such as a restored smokehouse, chicken coop, and privy. The restored barn also houses Washington Crossing Historic Park’s flock of sheep.
