Designed by architect Robert Cary Long, Jr. and completed in 1849, the mansion became a museum in 1922. The Blair County Historical Society purchased the house in 1941 and it serves as their headquarters. Visitors can see the mansion's original exterior and the renovated ornate Double Parlor.
