The George Barrett Concrete House is a museum in Spring Valley, Ohio, and one of the first concrete homes built in the Midwest. George Barrett constructed the two-story concrete wing using river rock and concrete mortar reinforced with animal hair after researching inflammable building materials. Visitors can see displays of Spring Valley historic artifacts on the first floor of the concrete wing. The house is individually listed on the National Registry of Historic Homes and is considered one of the finest extant examples of its kind.
