About U.S. Lifesaving Station
The U.S. Lifesaving Station Museum is a replica of the 1876 station, completed in 2016 and located near the Marblehead Lighthouse on State Park property. Visitors can explore a variety of exhibits and an authentically restored 27-foot Coast Guard rescue boat with its launching railway. Exhibits cover boating safety, the history of the U.S. Lifesaving Service and its evolution into the U.S. Coast Guard, and the history of Great Lakes shipping.
