About Sherman House State Memorial
The Sherman House Museum is the birthplace of General William Tecumseh Sherman and his brother, U.S. Senator John Sherman. The 1811 frame house includes restored period rooms showcasing Sherman family furnishings and artifacts, alongside exhibits of Civil War memorabilia and a recreation of General Sherman's field tent. The grounds feature historic gardens.
