About Poe Cottage
Edgar Allan Poe Cottage is a historic house museum and a New York City and State landmark, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is famous as the final home of writer Edgar Allan Poe, where he lived from 1846 to 1849 and wrote works like The Cask of Amontillado and Annabel Lee. The cottage features a permanent exhibit on Poe's life and literary output during his time there. Visitors can also see an exhibit exploring the death of Virginia Poe and surrealist visual art by Margarita Deida Pietri.
