About Caliente Railroad Depot
The Caliente Railroad Depot, built in 1923, is a mission revival style building designed by John and Donald Parkinson. It originally served as a major Union Pacific Railroad hub. Today, the depot houses the City of Caliente’s City Hall, and visitors can explore a small boxcar museum adjacent to the station. The museum features Union Pacific and Amtrak memorabilia, detailing the area’s railroading history.
