The Sterling Hill Mining Museum in Ogdensburg, New Jersey, was once a renowned zinc mine and one of the world's richest zinc ore deposits. Today, it is a world-famous museum and attraction offering an underground mine tour. Visitors can explore two museums, see mining equipment, a drilling and blasting demonstration, and the fluorescent Rainbow Tunnel with improved lighting. The museum also provides rock collecting on the Mine Run Dump and sluicing for minerals and fossils.
