About Museum of the High Plains
The Museum of the High Plains explores McCook and southwest Nebraska's settlement, agriculture, railroad, and political heritage. Visitors can see exhibits on Frank Lloyd Wright house plans, D.A.R. displays, quilts, and the area's role in WWII, including the McCook Army Air Base and Indianola German POW camp. The complex also includes the historic Carnegie Library, built in 1908, which now houses archives and genealogical resources.
