About Kearney Historic Museum
The Kearney Historic Museum opened in downtown Kearney in 2006 and doubled its size in 2017. It features many permanent and rotating displays for visitors. Notable exhibits include a timeline beginning in 1856 and the safe that held Frank James’ ashes. Artwork by Lisa Wild Healey is also displayed in the museum's courtyard.
