About Mark Twain Birthplace State Historic Site
Mark Twain Birthplace State Historic Site preserves the cabin where Samuel Clemens was born. The museum features exhibits on his life, first editions of his works, a handwritten manuscript of "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer," and furnishings from his Hartford home. A public reading room is available for study. The surrounding Mark Twain State Park offers picnic sites, camping, hiking, swimming, and fishing.
