About Red House Interpretive Center
The Red House Interpretive Center is a Certified Lewis and Clark Trail Site and a Missouri Legacy Project. It commemorates community founder Louis Lorimier and the 1803 visit of Meriwether Lewis and William Clark. The center houses an early 1800s exhibit on early settlers and a rendering of Lorimier’s Trading Post displaying authentic 19th-century items. Visitors can also explore the Lorimier Room, the Girardeau Room with a large territorial map, and historic gardens.
