The W. W. Mayo House is a hand-built historic home in Le Sueur, Minnesota. It served as Dr. W. W. Mayo’s first medical practice, witnessed events of the US-Dakota War of 1862, and was later the family home of the Cosgrove family of the Green Giant Company. Visitors can tour the house with costumed guides who share stories of the Mayo and Cosgrove families, founders of the Mayo Clinic and Green Giant Company. During the holiday season, special tours interpret 1800s Christmas traditions.
