About Oswald's Bear Ranch
Oswald's Bear Ranch is a zoo in Newberry, MI, and the largest bear-only ranch in the United States. Founded in 1984, it opened to the public in 1997 as a 240-acre rescue refuge for North American Black Bears. The ranch houses 40 rescued bears in four habitats, including one with a waterfall for yearling bears. Visitors can explore the ranch to see rescued bears and cubs, and the facility offers educational school bus field trips.
