About Readfield Historical Society
The Readfield Historical Society Museum is housed in an old schoolhouse built in 1853, which originally served as a schoolroom and a chapel. The second floor features exhibits on farm life, home and family, transportation, churches, civic organizations, and a Grange corner. This floor is handicapped accessible with a stair-chair lift. The first floor contains a research area, files, and a restored old schoolroom, with soft music from old records playing in the Home and Family area.
