The Athens Historical Society Museum and Library is located upstairs at the Somerset Academy building. Visitors can explore historical materials, including information about local families, homes, and the area's history. The collection features a late 1800s crazy quilt, a wooden mortar and pestle, historical photographs, maps, and Rowell’s store memorabilia. It is open by appointment.
