About J.C. Lore Oyster House
The J.C. Lore Oyster House is a restored 1934 seafood packing facility and National Historic Landmark that explores the history of oyster processing in Southern Maryland. Located on Solomons Island, the museum documents the operations of J.C. Lore and Sons, one of the region's largest seafood companies, through exhibits on oyster receiving, shucking, packing, and distribution.
