About USS Cassin Young
USS Cassin Young is a historic Fletcher-class destroyer built in 1943 during World War II. It engaged in seven Pacific battles and survived two Kamikaze hits, serving a decade beyond its expected lifetime. Maintained by the National Park Service, visitors can explore above and below the main deck of this ship, which exemplifies vessels built and repaired in the Charlestown Navy Yard.
