About John Canot House and Visitor Center
The John Cabot House is a Georgian-style mansion built in 1781, serving as Historic Beverly's headquarters since 1892. It was the first brick mansion in Beverly, reflecting the Cabot family's wealth in its architecture, carved paneling, and Dutch tiles. Today, it functions as a museum of Beverly history, a research center, and a regional visitor center. Visitors can explore the house and attend Revolutionary War Spotlight Talks.
