About Old Schwamb Mill
The Old Schwamb Mill in Arlington, Massachusetts, is located on the oldest continuously operating mill site in the United States, with mills present since the late 1600s. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971, it transitioned from a working factory to a living history museum. The Mill still uses its unique 19th-century elliptical lathes and original belt-driven machinery to create custom oval and circular frames. Group tours are available by appointment.
