About Zachary Train Depot
The Zachary Railroad Depot is the oldest building on Main Street, built in 1894 as part of the Louisville, New Orleans and Texas Railroad expansion. The depot became the focal point of the town's development and survived the devastating Great Fire of 1903 that destroyed much of Zachary, standing as a testament to the area's early history.
