About Weld House Museum
The Weld House Museum, built circa 1837, served as Dr. John F. Weld's home and medical office before becoming a museum. Located in Nauvoo’s business district, this Greek Revival building preserves over a century of Nauvoo history. Its exhibits cover various eras, from Native peoples to the Icarian community, featuring artifacts like a 900-piece arrowhead collection, pioneer tools, and 1895 wedding garments. Visitors can explore the largest known collection of Icarian artifacts and displays on Nauvoo’s funeral industry.
