About Garnavillo Historical Museum
The Garnavillo Historical Society’s museum complex features an old historic brick church from 1867, serving as the main museum, alongside a furnished pioneer log cabin built in 1831 and a Lodge Hall from 1860. The Lodge Hall's second floor retains original Odd Fellows and Masons furnishings. Inside the main museum, visitors can explore exhibits ranging from prehistoric artifacts to Mid-20th century memorabilia, including a 1902 Crestmobile, a mastodon bone, and Civil War artifacts. The archives also offer early manuscripts, maps, and photos for research.
