The World War II Home Front Museum, part of the Coastal Georgia Historical Society, is housed in the Historic St. Simons Coast Guard Station, built in 1936. Visitors can explore immersive galleries and interactives to discover Coastal Georgia’s contributions to winning World War II. Guests can test plane spotting skills, train to direct fighter pilots, and build a Liberty ship. The museum also shares stories of the station's crew rescuing torpedoed ship survivors in 1942 and features oral histories.
