About Augusta Museum of History
Founded in 1937, the Augusta Museum of History is Augusta's oldest historical agency. It collects, preserves, and interprets the history of Augusta and the Central Savannah River region. Visitors can explore the permanent exhibition Augusta's Story, which covers 12,000 years of the region's past, as well as Signature, Special, and Online Exhibitions. The museum also presents various annual events and houses the largest historical collection in the CSRA.
