About African American Museum of the Arts
The African American Museum of the Arts (AAMA) is a not-for-profit arts facility in DeLand, FL. It promotes multicultural artistic excellence and provides educational, historical, and cultural opportunities for the African American community. The museum features a main gallery for rotating exhibits, a small gallery for permanent collections, and currently displays The Story Quilters of Hannibal Square Exhibit. AAMA also supports the DeLand Black Heritage Trail, which includes its Dr. Noble “Thin Man” Watts amphitheater and Moses Sun mural.
