About Redding Historical Society
The Redding Historical Society, founded in the 1940s, preserves and promotes Redding, Connecticut’s heritage. It maintains unique historic properties for the community. Visitors can tour the Lonetown Farm Museum and its historic farmhouse. The society also offers tours of the Umpawaug School, a national historic landmark and Redding’s only surviving one-room brick schoolhouse built around 1789.
