About Mashantucket Pequot Museum & Research Center
The Mashantucket Pequot Museum & Research Center, tribally owned and operated since August 11, 1998, brings to life the story of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation. It features an online exhibit, Reclaiming the Waterways, which highlights the Mission Mishoon, the dugout canoe of the Pequots. The museum also invites Pequot community members and Sister Nations to help share Eastern Woodland lifeways, traditions, and stories with guests.
