About Thankful Arnold House
The Thankful Arnold House Museum features the Wilhelmina Ann Arnold Barnhart Memorial Garden, redesigned in the late 1980s in the Colonial Revival style. The garden showcases over 50 varieties of herbs, many used for cooking, medicine, dyeing, and fragrance, similar to those Thankful Arnold would have used around 1830. Visitors can also see a small bed with vegetables common in the early 1800s. This garden has been recognized by the National Home Gardening Club.
