About Old Bethlem Historical Museum
The Old Bethlem Historical Society established the Old Bethlem Museum in 1976, which was refurbished in 1987. It displays costumes, tools, and articles from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The Society also maintains the District #1 Schoolhouse, built circa 1850 and restored as a living museum. Visitors can sit at period desks to learn about student life in the late 1800s, including seeing names etched by past students.
