About Maturango Museum
Founded in 1962, the Maturango Museum preserves the natural and cultural heritage of the Northern Mojave Desert through exhibits and educational programs. The museum features permanent and rotating galleries along with art exhibits and cultural programming. The museum provides access to the Coso petroglyphs, the largest known concentration of rock art in the Western Hemisphere, with images spanning thousands of years.
