About Escalon Museum
The Escalon Historical Museum is operated by the Escalon Historical Society, formed in 1989 to preserve the city's history. Visitors can see Escalon's first fire bell, used from 1903 to 1923, displayed next to the museum building. An exterior mural depicts Escalon's heritage in agriculture, dairy, business, and railroad transportation. The society also owns an Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad caboose located in Main Street Park.
