About Methodist Mance
The Methodist Manse is a single-story brick structure built in 1834 that originally served as Canehill's first Methodist church. After a new wood-frame church was constructed in the 1850s, the building became the Methodist minister's residence. As one of the community's most significant pre-Civil War buildings, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
