About Central Delta Depot Museum
Located in a restored 1912 Union Railroad Depot on the National Register of Historic Places, this museum celebrates the life and music of legendary blues and jazz musician Louis Jordan, a Brinkley native known as the Father of Rhythm and Blues. Exhibits feature photographs and a collection of his early 78 rpm records alongside displays about the Louisiana Purchase survey of 1815 and regional railroad history. The grounds also house a century-old depot from Monroe and a furnished sharecropper house.
