The Fort Payne Depot Museum is housed in a Richardsonian Romanesque building of local pink and white sandstone, which served as a train depot for 85 years. This site, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, offers collections on local history, Native American artifacts, and war memorabilia. Visitors can also explore the Depot Annex, which features rotating exhibits and dioramas, and a preserved 1971 Norfolk Southern Caboose.
