About Cape St. George Lighthouse
77-foot restored lighthouse on Little St. George Island (accessible only by boat), with a Lighthouse Keepers Cottage, history museum, and 92-stair climb to the top for panoramic views of Apalachicola Bay. Originally lit in 1852, the lighthouse was moved inland in 2005 after storm erosion nearly toppled it — the move itself is part of the historic exhibit. One of the most photographed landmarks on the Forgotten Coast.
